Artist Statement:These sketches were ideas for my self portrait assignement. The first sketch dealt with the concept of what you know of me is what i want you to know but what you dont know will never show up on paper . I only show half of me , the half truth and the half lie.The second sketch dealt with the concept of living while you are dying and dying while you are living. Sometimes momets in life makes you feel dead , like there  is no connection with the world and no desire to feel the world . There is no emotion left in you. Other times your dead , you are at the breaking point of your life ,but you feel there  is desire in you and most importanlty there is connection. 

 

I chose these sketchs because it shows how i think , shows the deeper connetion between me and my art and how its not 2 different things but it like the same entity. Me and my art are the same -I create therefore I exist.
